There was a big storm due to hit us. Apparently, there were semi trucks jack-knifed and freeways closed up north. The storm was headed our way.
I went to The Creamery, a small local grocery store, to buy enchilada sauce, but they were closed due to the storm.
I went to another store, and the parking lot was jam packed. I couldn't even find a spot, so I took off to another store.
At the next store, the parking lot was even worse. I decided to go in anyway. I only wanted a can of enchilada sauce.
The store was packed with people getting stocked up for the storm, and all the carts were gone.
I saw several neighbors at the store, including Jeff and Deborah, pictured here.
Then the snow started coming down.
We decided to celebrate the storm by throwing a log on the fire.
And playing Twister.
and Chutes and Ladders.
and Apples to Apples.
And we ate banana splits…
Around 8:30 P.M. the storm stopped and there wasn’t even enough snow on the sidewalk to shovel. Maybe we will wake tomorrow to a pile of snow at our front door.
UPDATE: So much for the storm warning. We barley got a 1/4 inch.
