World’s Best Chili (And Oh So Easy To Make)

This recipe has been in my wife’s family for years. If you like hot chili, this is not the right one for you. Go to Texas for that. If you are a chili purist (All beef, no chicken. Cubbed beef, not ground. No beans added) then go to Martha for that.

This recipe is a simple, yet very delicious.

1 pound of hamburger

1  15 oz. can of chopped tomatoes (undrained)

2  16 oz cans pinto beans (undrained)

1  12 oz. can tomato paste

1 small onion, chopped

1  1/2 tablespoons chili powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 bay leaf

Brown hamburger and onion.

Add remaining ingredients.

Simmer 3 -4 hours.

Eat, eat, eat! See, I told you it was simple. Fauneil likes to eat it with corn bread or saltines, I like to eat it with rice.
